ENGLISH TRANSLATION HEREUNDER

Dans notre Loft Story à nous, il y avait l’équipe « Solar Bike » composée de Michel, Laure et Barbara et l’équipe « Production » composée des frères Minne et de votre serviteur.

L’équipe Solar Bike est soudée et dévouée entièrement au périple de Michel et à l’exploit sportif et technologique qu’il accomplit sur la Route 66. L’équipe Production se permet parfois des écarts de conduite pour quitter leur sujet et aller faire des rencontres, visiter les villes, sortir pour s’imprégner de la vie américaine.

Depuis notre arrivée à Flagstaff, trois personnes sont venues rejoindre ce groupe qui vivait en cercle fermé depuis un mois et 10 jours. Khoi, le neveu de Michel est arrivé par surprise depuis la Nouvelle Zélande. Il devrait tout naturellement rejoindre l’équipe Solar Bike. Zouzou et Jean sont des amis de longue date de l’équipe Solar Bike et des personnes que je fréquente également dans mon cercle professionnel. Ils sont ici pour soutenir Michel mais sont surtout ici pour prendre du bon temps et des vacances. Vont-ils rejoindre l’équipe Solar Bike ou l’équipe Production ? A moins qu’ils ne décident de rebattre les cartes des alliances ou de créer une nouvelle équipe dissidente !

Quoiqu’il en soit, il est certain que les rapports de force ont déjà changé. Khoi et Michel ensemble, à vélo, sur la route changent tout pour notre film. C’est une nouvelle histoire que nous allons raconter.

Barbara a l’habitude de partager la chambre de Laure et Michel mais l’arrivée de Khoi ne rend plus cette opportunité possible. Elle devra dorénavant prendre une chambre pour elle. Elle comptait la partager avec Zouzou mais cette dernière semble préférer partager une chambre avec son comparse d’aventure, Jean… ou alors prendre une chambre à trois pour diminuer les frais. Mais Barbara va-t-elle accepter de dormir dans le même lit avec Zouzou et dans la même chambre que Jean ? Nous sommes littéralement dans Loft Story !

Et que dire du convoi de voitures qui va suivre dorénavant Michel. Il y avait déjà la voiture de Laure et Barbara + la nôtre. Il y a maintenant celle de Khoi qui est conduite par Barbara le temps que ce dernier est sur son vélo avec Michel. Du coup, Laure se retrouve seule dans son van mais c’était Barbara qui servait de GPS et communiquait le chemin à prendre à Michel (oui, trouver la Route 66 relève du miracle parfois). Barbara va-t-elle suivre au pas le van de Laure qui suit le vélo de Michel ? Impossible ! Il serait incompréhensible pour notre documentaire de voir apparaître une nouvelle voiture dans le décor.

Toutes ces tentions m’ont fait péter un plomb et c’est Geoffroy qui a pris ma colère sur la tête ce matin. Une bonne engueulade qui a permis à l’équipe Production de mettre les pendules à l’heure et de se recentrer sur les priorités des 10 derniers jours de tournage. Nous voici reboosté à bloc.

Barbara ne pouvant plus suivre l’équipe Solar Bike avec son bolide a décidé de ralier l’équipe Production et nous a suivi à la découverte de Williams, une petite ville au Sud du Grand Canyon.

ENGLISH TRANSLATION

In our Loft Story, we had the « Solar Bike » team composed by Michel, Laure and Barbara and the « Production » team made up of the Minne brothers and myself.
 
The Solar Bike team is tightly knit and dedicated to Michel’s journey and the sporting and technological challenge he achieves on Route 66. The Production team sometimes allows himself to travel separately, to leave their subject and go meeting people, visit cities, go out to soak up American life.
 
Since our arrival in Flagstaff, three people have joined this group who lived in a closed circle for a month and 10 days. Khoi, Michel’s nephew arrived by surprise from New Zealand. He should naturally join the Solar Bike team. Zouzou and Jean are longtime friends of the Solar Bike team and people I also attend in my professional circle. They are here to support Michel but are especially here to have a good time and some vacation. Will they join the Solar Bike team or the Production team? Unless they decide to reshuffle the alliance cards or create a new dissident team!
 
Anyway, it is certain that the balance of power has already changed. Khoi and Michel together, by bike, on the road are changing everything for our movie. This is a new story that we will tell.
 
Barbara usually shares Laure and Michel’s room, but the arrival of Khoi no longer makes this opportunity possible. She will now have to take a room for her. She was planning to share it with Zouzou but she seems to prefer sharing a room with her partner in this adventure, Jean … or take a room for three to reduce the costs. But will Barbara agree to sleep in the same bed than Zouzou and in the same room than Jean? We are literally in Loft Story!
 
And what about the convoy of cars that will follow Michel from now on. There was already Laure and Barbara’s car + ours. There is now Khoi’s car that is driven by Barbara while he is on his bike with Michel. As a result, Laure finds herself alone in her van but it was Barbara who served as GPS and communicated the way to take to Michel (yes, finding Route 66 is sometimes a miracle). Will Barbara follow the steps of Laure’s van that follows Michel’s bike? Impossible ! It would be incomprehensible for our documentary to see a new car appear in the scenery.
 
All these tensions freaked me out and it is Geoffroy who took my anger on the head this morning. A good shout that allowed the production team to set the record straight and refocus on the priorities of the last 10 days of filming. Here we are back on track.
 
Barbara no longer able to follow the team Solar Bike with her car decided to join the production team and followed us to the discovery of Williams, a small town south of the Grand Canyon.
