Mama Laure and Daddy Michel have found the trick so that their “kids” (I mean the technical team) follow their steps and do not wade anymore in the warm waters of Montezuma or sleep in: they have decided to reassemble the bike on the road and no longer at the hotel.

You must know that putting, in the Dodge Grand Caravan that Laure drives, the disassembled bike, all of the rescue technique and the luggage of the couple is a true miracle coming from a thorough study of Tetris. At this moment, there is no more room for Barbara (and for her suitcase) who arrives in our KIA and, there, it is a new Tetris that starts because all of our filming equipment also takes a lot of place.

At the time of assembly and disassembly, the entire team is requisitioned to help Michel. The trailer is so heavy that you have to be 5 to position it in the car, 4 for the solar panels. The wind does not make things easier, on the contrary. And God knows (well, especially Michel) that the wind is strong and violent in New Mexico.

Today, Michel decided to ride his bike on Route 66 and not directly from La Quinta Inn where we spent the night. So we had to use cunning to live Santa Fe, the artistic capital of New Mexico, and it was at night that we discovered the city by searching various spots in Reporter, the local magazine which lists all the cultural activities: concerts , exhibit’s opening, night-live, we only had to follow the guide!
This one took us to the center, to the Plaza, where you will find many shops, art galleries, bars, etc. We finished our night at the Underground. Didier missed no image of my hips with a pretty girl very enterprising … Not sure that it is in the movie.

Let’s go to Albuquerque.

We had release our camera only twice today to film Michel on his bike when we were stopped by the police. « What are you filming? » The policewoman asks us. « The beautiful trees with their autumnal leaves and Michel » retort him naturally. « And you have an authorization? » Uh … what? « You are on a reserve here. It is forbidden to film until Albuquerque. » the young lady replies, noting my name on her notebook, the details of my driving license and the license plate of the car.
We bring the camera in. End of shoot.

And so, we take some time to walk and I discover that the Rio Grande is not very far. We are looking for a way to access it. A wonder. A ray of sunshine illuminates the colors of the trees. Paradise is not very far. See the photos in the article CITYTRIP: Rio Grande Nature Center State Park.
