Le Parc National du Grand Canyon couvre un territoire de 4927 km. Il a été fondé grâce à l’intervention du Président Roosevelt afin de préserver le domaine de la pression humaine. Les strates visibles sur les flancs des collines permettent aux 5 millions de visiteurs annuels de découvrir les couches géologiques qui racontent toute l’histoire du continent nord-américain et l’érosion occasionnée par le fleuve Colorado qui coule en contrebas.
Même si le climat est plutôt aride, cela ne signifie pas fortes chaleurs. Les températures peuvent être glaçantes et la neige peut être présente.

Grand Canyon National Park covers an area of 4927 km. It was founded thanks to the intervention of President Roosevelt to preserve the realm of human pressure. The strata visible on the hillsides allow 5 million annual visitors to discover the geological layers that tell the whole history of the North American continent and the erosion caused by the Colorado River flowing below.
Even if the climate is rather arid, it does not mean very hot. Temperatures can be chilling and snow may be present.
